PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD

This Unit Standard is intended for all people who are involved in, or who intend to be involved in administration in commercial and non-commercial organizations. Competence against this standard will add value to the learner`s job, or chances of finding employment.

The qualifying learner is capable of the following:
Demonstrating an understanding of standards and procedures governing health, safety, and security in the workplace.
You are contributing to a safe and secure work environment.

LEARNING IS ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Learners should hold a GETC, or equivalent qualification, or be competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF level 1.
